Blockhead at his best

This is a great flash. One can tell that you poured your effort into it- at the same time it presents a very entertaining story while seeming to serve as a testing ground for different characters, scenes, emotions, and story elements. On your site you describe how blockhead is such a testing ground, and I can't wait to see what you'll make next. The sheer length of all the parts is monumental: 30 minutes, which is much more than the length of a standard TV cartoon episode excluding commercials.

Though the character's don't change much, some of them do in important ways (such as the cyborg with his death and such). This isn't a negative because too much character development would be unfitting in a pure action movie like this. Blockhead's complete lack of change whatsoever despite the dangerous situations adds humor, and him telling the conscious that he forgot what had happened after the adventure adds a sense of resolved pointlessness- if the adventure had not happened, Blockhead would act the exact same.

The music is very polished- though it still shows audible roots in midi (in some of the portions, especially the percussion I think I hear rendered midi) it still fits every scene very well and the whole score is never uninteresting or distracting. If you had better equipment I'd bet you could make some damn fine music for flashes.

I loved this

This is one of my favorite flash series of all time and #6 is the best to date. I think what makes the character of Blockhead so compelling is that it is as if a normal person has been split down the middle into two different personalities, with one being completely dominant and the other forced to watch without much effect. Blockhead has child-like psych problems, including pica, mania, developmental disabilities, hyperactivity/ADD, and is sociopathic. The Ego has problems more associated with adulthood, including depression, nihilism, anger problems, and suicidal thoughts. If you meshed the two together you'd get a more or less normal person, as their extremes would cancel out.

I wouldn't worry about including too much Ego- his reation to what Blockhead does, and the following interaction between them, is some of the best stuff. I think that Time Squad is far less enjoyable because of the lack of Ego, and the addition of the other flat characters.

My only complaint is that the episodes are too short! Almost every moment of them is hilarious, and I am left wanting much more. You may also want to try making the episodes have a bit more complex situations with randomness still present but more of the directed kind, with each part of the situation cascading and building on the next until a moment of hilarity.

And he gasped a breath, and cried "failure!"

It's 3 AM in the morning. I am sitting here typing out some boring instruction sheet for chamois use, and I decide to "surf the web" as a break. Then I click on this movie. For the next hour (or what seems to be) I stare at this "flash animation", mouth agape, eyeballs drying in their sockets. Afterwards and through now, I am typing out this review and wondering just why someone would create such a monumental volume of pointlessness. Is it a hatred of all that is good? Is it just complete disregard for comedy? Nomatter what the reason, you sir need to reevaluate your creativity fromt he ground up, first working on "what the hell you are doing" and then going on to "how the hell can I pull off something coherent in a way that isn't a visual catastrophe". I've already wasted too much time, but now I look foreward to going back to working on the chamois instruction sheet. Good job sir, you are a perfect motivator for people to do boring tasks.

Good

This is a very unique movie- it's an uncomon theme (at least for NG) and the plot is concise and well played out. The sound could be improved, however- the voices were somewhat dull, and the audio unclear. Even though the movie itself was good, I disagree with the somewhat socialistic nature of the film: just because one enjoys "stuff" doesn't exclude interest in other things (such as artistic and intellectual matters). And of course you have the usual bunch of mental giants among the reviewers who post idiotic statements such as "It is a truism that western civilization is founded upon false principles and materialistic dreams".

To sum it up: lefties should get jobs, and righties should learn about something called "social freedom", and this is a very good flash.

gr9

This is supremely great. I only wish that for some part of it the bird picture wasn't moving so that I could see it in still-image hilarity as well.

One of the top five flash vids ever

I was drinking a cup of Espresso from my faithful mug-o-joy when I viewed this video. I was so awesomed by this video that, in extatic glee, I poured the coffee all over my chest. So now I have second degree burns to forever remind me of how awesome this video.

P.S. My lawyers will be contacting you shortly because of your negligent use of awesome force.

A great side-flash of the RAB series

You sir have proved that you are capable of producing hilarity, even without penises and gore. Quite an accomplishment; I was skeptical of the movie at first, but it retains the feel and comedy of RAB throughout.
enjoy your booze. More booze=more drunken flash animation binges=more RAB hopefully.

I was eating a pickle whilst watching this movie.

I proceeded to choke on the pickle because of how horrible this flash was, and finally shoved it down my gaping eathole with the help of a bar of twix. I then vomited the contents of my stomach all over my screen, and pieces of pickle, curdled milk, and bile covered your flash as it played. I hate you.

Although I must thank you for my discovery of the greatness of chocolate and pickles, I cannot stress just how much I hate you. You get a "10" for interactivity because your flash almost killed me.

"A triumph of comedic greatness" -The Washington Post
"A surreal adventure into the postmodernistic explication of modern comedy" -Pretension Magazine
"That's some funky shiznit" -me

I noticed that if you cross your eyes and look at the flash in a way similar to those "magic eye" things, you will discover the secrets of the universe.

unlolz my funnyplace, flashmaster.
